They stole more than 10,000,000 pesos, and then left in an Audi that belonged to one victim.
In the province of Buenos Aires, thefts and intrusions into private neighborhoods are already a regular occurrence. And, just a few hours ago, five homes in a rural area in southern Buenos Aires were attacked in a film-like manner. The criminals then fled in a luxury vehicle that belonged to the victim.
This event was captured on security cameras at El Carmen Country Club in Jose Maria Gutierrez district, Berazategui.
According to initial reports, the thieves entered the community through a perimeter fence at the rear. The private security guards of the complex were not aware that this was happening. After hiding in the woods, three thieves, who were likely to be involved, began targeting the homes closest to the fence.
The criminals, who were armed and entered homes, for 90 minutes each, forced residents to surrender any valuables and money they held. The victims included a health-care businessman from whom allegedly the most money and jewelry were stolen.
The thieves stole the cash, totaling around 10,000,000 pesos. They then got in the car and fled the compound. According to security cameras, the chosen vehicle was an Audi with which they managed to ram the supplier’s access gate in order to flee the complex.
LA NACION has published a report in the past month that shows that neighbors have installed cameras and alarms inside their houses, even though they live in closed communities.
Sources consulted by LA NACION indicate that, up until the end of last week, there were 55 reported cases in private or public neighborhoods.
