Four service stations were attacked with the exact same method of attack, and within close proximity to each other.
Fairfax County Police is investigating several robberies that took place at gas stations on Sunday.
The Lincolnia Gas Station was the scene of several robberies after 9:22 pm. Two hooded men were captured on surveillance video entering the shop and taking items behind the counter. They then left the store in a silver Hyundai.
They then stole an Exxon from Edsall Road. Then, at Little River Speedway, they allegedly committed another robbery, and at Shell, at 9:39, they allegedly attacked another victim. Witnesses claim that the victim of this last incident was hit with a fist during the robbery. Another robbery occurred at the 3United Station on Ravensworth Road.
Ingrid Palencia of Fairfax County Police said, “It could happen anywhere. We are looking to find out what draws these people into these service stations and gas stations.”
Currently, police are searching for two suspects. At least four witnesses have said that they could have been involved. In a Telemundo44 video, the men are seen getting into the car in the rear seat when the escape is taking place.
Palencia, however, said that: “At the moment, the detectives have begun an investigation and I don’t yet know whether that information is accurate or not. But, rest assured, the detectives will investigate this information.”
Elizabeth Quintana is the director of crime strategy for the County Police. She commented on this trend a couple of months back.

Palencia stated on Monday that “the same thing we experienced last year will be repeated, with the officers being closer and more attentive to the stores already knowing what happened last evening.”
At least 18600 attacks on property have already been reported in the county this year. The police believe the crime rate will decrease as the temperatures drop. They assure, however, that this trend is unpredictable.
